Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso

Everyone likes Matt Damon, but who was the lucky lady that managed to sweep him off of his feet? Damon met future wife Luciana Barroso in Miami while filming the 2003 comedy Stuck on You. Barroso worked as a bartender in South Beach, and just happened to be working the night that Damon and the film crew decided to go out for drinks. The couple married over 15 years ago in 2005.

“I got lucky,” Damon told Esquire. “I fell in love with a civilian. Not an actress and not a famous actress at that. Because then the attention doesn’t double — it grows exponentially.”

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth

Reese Witherspoon has had a history of high-profile romances, but everything changed when she met talent agent Jim Toth. Despite his work as an agent in Hollywood, Toth was in no way famous — especially not as much as his future wife. A longtime admirer of her work, Toth married Witherspoon in 2011, and the happy couple welcomed a baby boy the following year in 2012.

Julia Roberts and Daniel Moder

Though neither of them were single at the time, the two hit it off during filming. Roberts and Moder separated from their respective partners and married each other only a year later in 2002. Since then, the couple has managed to keep a low profile but are still married nearly twenty years later.

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway met her future husband Adam Shulman — an actor and jewelry designer — through a mutual friend at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008. Hathway had a feeling that Shulman was the one the second she met him. “I think he thought I was a little nuts, which I am a bit, but I’m also nice,” Hathaway’s said of their meeting. “I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life.”

Before Shulman proposed to her in 2011, he designed the six-carat engagement ring himself. Now, that’s a romantic personal touch!
