While Travis Kelce may have had a slow start to the 2024 campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs, there’s no doubt that his legacy as one of the greatest tight ends of all time is already secure.

Kelce has put together some incredibly strong numbers over the course of his career (922 REC, 11,846 YDS, 76 TD), in addition to being a nine-time Pro Bowler who has also won three Super Bowls.

And while he’s nearing the end of his career, Kelce is still adding to his list of accomplishments. While he may not be the de facto greatest tight end of all time just yet, well-known actor and notorious Chiefs fan Rob Riggle recently bestowed that title upon him, which will surely catch the attention of Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski recently emerged as a contender for the greatest tight end of all time, and chances are he won’t be thrilled to see Riggle hand the label to Kelce, although it does make sense given his allegiance to the Chiefs.

During his prime, there was arguably no offensive player more dominant than Gronkowski, but injuries derailed his career, preventing him from enjoying the same sort of longevity as Kelce.

It’s a valid discussion for sure, but the longer Kelce plays for, the better his case becomes. In the eyes of some folks like Riggle, though, he’s already done enough to earn the title, and it will be interesting to see how popular that opinion is once Kelce’s time on the field comes to an end.
