The seven-time Super Bowl champ and the two-time Oscar winning actor had fun at a table read for the 2000 sports movie

Tom Brady and Denzel Washington are having some fun looking back on Remember the Titans!
On the Let’s Go podcast, the retired quarterback, 46, and Washington, 68, reenacted a memorable scene from the 2000 sports drama, which starred two-time Oscar winner as a coach attempting to integrate two high school football teams.
“Put your hand down,” Washington, reprising his role as Coach Herman Boone, says to Brady, who fills in for Donald Faison’s character, Petey Jones, during the table read. “First you smile, then you think. You think football is fun.”
“Uh, yes,” Brady-as-Jones says, and then changes his tune. “No sir, it was fun.”
“Not anymore,” Washington says. “Make up your mind, since you’re thinking. Is it fun?”
After the seven-time Super Bowl winner replies — channeling Jones — that football is not fun, Washington adds: “Absolutely not, zero fun.”
Later in the podcast, the iconic QB and the legendary actor bonded over their mutual appreciation — and how preparation has helped fuel their careers.
“You played an amazing role in people’s lives,” Brady told the actor. “And you make it look so easy, but I’m sure it’s not.”
Washington replied, “You know I’m sure you heard that before, ‘You made it look easy.’ But you know about them 11 guys coming at you.”

“Sure, it looks easy, but when you’ve done the work it’s easier. In fact, in the old acting classes, they would talk about cutting 90% which basically means when it comes game time, let all that stuff go and play the game. So when it comes game time for an actor, you’ve done all the research, you’ve done all the background work, you’ve done all the study,” he continued.
Washington concluded, “You know your material better than anyone else, and then you relax and see what happens.”
