They denied rumours of a romance last year, and it was claimed there was nothing going on between them even after they were apparently spotted kissing in January.

But Leonardo DiCaprio and Rihanna added fuel to speculation they are more than just friends when they were spotted together at the Neon Carnival party on Saturday night following Coachella.

The actor, 41, appeared to be whispering in the 28-year-old pop star’s ear while she was seen smiling.

Rihanna was wearing a pair of glittering sunglasses despite the fact it was dark outside, while Leo kept a low profile in a baseball cap and shades.

He was spotted chatting on his cellphone as he left the Empire Polo grounds earlier, possibly organizing the rendezvous with the singer.

A host of stars turned out in force for the Levis and RE/DONE event, held in Thermal, California, including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Alessandra Ambrosio.

In January, Rihanna and Leonardo were seen partying in Paris together, and eyewitnesses allegedly saw them kissing.

They were first linked last year, but the Work hit-maker shot down rumours that they were romantically involved in March 2015.

‘I’m so busy right now that I just don’t have a lot of time to offer to a man so it wouldn’t even be fair to be thinking of pulling somebody else into this life,’ she told Hello! magazine.

‘But if I did, he would have to be man enough to live with my schedule and not get scared.’

Rihanna was most recently linked to her ex Drake again after they delivered a very raunchy performance at the BRIT Awards in February.

A source told The Sun: ‘They’re back together and Drake is besotted. His team have been teasing him about it but nothing can wipe the smile off his face.’

The insider added that the couple’s ‘renewed romance’ is an ‘open secret’ among their respective entourages.

Meanwhile Leonardo was rumoured to be dating British model Roxy Horner following the end of his relationship with Kelly Rohrbach.
