In a shocking revelation, renowned comedian Cat Williams has come forward with startling details about an alleged setup orchestrated by radio host Wanda Smith, which took a dark turn involving a gun and an attempt on his life.
The controversy dates back to a memorable clash between Cat Williams and Wanda Smith on the V103 Atlanta radio show “Frank and Wanda in the Morning” in September 2018. The interview turned into a viral sensation as Cat Williams delivered a scathing roast, particularly targeting comedian Tiffany Haddish.
Fast forward to a recent appearance on Shannon Sharp’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Cat Williams peeled back the layers on the incident, claiming that Wanda Smith orchestrated a plan to put him in a life-threatening situation. According to Williams,
Wanda had assured him beforehand that they wouldn’t discuss his legal troubles or his children during the interview. However, the conversation took an unexpected turn when Wanda allegedly brought up sensitive topics, violating their agreement.

The situation escalated as Williams accused Wanda of trying to embarrass him in front of her largely homosexual fan base, using derogatory language. Williams suggested that this might be the reason why Wanda was eventually fired from V103 Atlanta and faded from the public eye.
The controversy didn’t end with the on-air spat. Williams claimed that Wanda, in an attempt to salvage her pride, allegedly sent her husband, Lamoreis Sellers, with a gun to confront him. Security footage from the incident outside the Atlanta Comedy Theater reportedly captured Sellers brandishing a weapon and chasing Williams into a nearby grocery store.
While Sellers admitted to chasing Williams, he denied pointing the gun at him, asserting that he dropped it accidentally while running. The incident led to further speculation about Wanda’s role in the alleged setup.

TMZ later released security footage supporting Williams’ claims, showing Sellers wielding a gun and chasing Williams. The incident reportedly occurred on September 15, 2018, in the parking lot of the Atlanta Comedy Theater, where Wanda was hosting a comedy night.
In January 2019, months after the incident, Wanda Smith was reportedly fired from V103 Atlanta. Although the radio station did not specify the reasons for her termination, speculation circulated about her comments during the interview, particularly her use of derogatory language and attempts to insult Cat Williams.
The shocking revelation by Cat Williams has ignited discussions about the lengths some may go to settle personal scores and the potential dangers comedians face in their line of work. As the details unfold, the public awaits further responses from Wanda Smith and Lamoreis Sellers regarding the serious allegations made by Cat Williams.
