Johnny Depp needs no introduction. The actor is renowned for his impeccable acting skills. When we think about Pirates of the Caribbean, the first picture that comes to mind is of Captain Jack Sparrow. The unforgettable character of Captain Jack Sparrow became the breakthrough role for Depp.
The actor has often been in the headlines for his controversies, and just like his movies, his life is also an adventurous saga. The actor was once accused of punching a location manager.
Later, the actor made a strange demand, offering him $100,000 to punch him in the face.

Why did Johnny Depp turn violent?
While his trial for Amber Heard’s defamation case was going on, Depp was booked for another case where he was accused by the location manager of punching him and offering him money to punch him back.
So what happened was that the location manager named Gregg Brooks filed a complaint against the Pirates of the Caribbean actor following his behavior towards him.
As per the complaint, Depp turned hostile because Brooks forbade him from filming in the area after the permission expired. On this, the actor got furious and freaked out at the location manager. Depp lost his control and screamed,
“Who the f**k are you? You have no right to tell me what to do!”

The incident, which initially seemed to be a verbal feud, later turned out to be a physical feud as Depp punched Brooks twice in the ribs and said, “I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now!”
Allegedly, the situation went so out of control that Brook had to ask for police intervention so that they could help him convince Depp that filming had to be halted for that night. In the complaint, Gregg Brooks revealed that Depp stunk of alcohol. However, Depp’s team somehow cleared his image.
The Amber Heard-Johnny Depp Trial
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard
One must be living under a rock or on an isolated island to never have heard of the infamous Depp-Heard trial. Depp’s ex-wife, Amber Heard, accused him of domestic violence while filing for divorce.
But the charges were later dropped after a $7 million settlement. But later, Amber Heard wrote an op-ed claiming to be a victim of abuse and this led to Depp losing lucrative deals with WB and Disney.
Depp sued for $50 million for defamation. Later, the jury unanimously decided that the actor was indeed defamed by the actions of his ex-wife.
The case turned out to be in Depp’s favor, and he was awarded 10 million dollars in compensatory damages by the jury. During the trial, the actor was immensely supported by the fans.
