It happened few minutes! Condolences to all Will Smith fans and his family.

Will Smith’s father, Willard Carroll Smith Sr., has died. The star’s ex-wife, Sheree Fletcher, shared the news via Instagram on Monday, November 7.

Fletcher, 48, posted a throwback photo of Smith and his dad with the exes’ son, Trey.

“We’re gonna miss you Daddio! You lived & played by your own rules…you truly were 1 of a kind! You instilled discipline, and a work ethic that has created a legacy in your honor!” the actress captioned the snapshot. “(Pic left to right: Will Smith II; Will Smith III (Trey); Will Smith I (Daddio!) #RIPDaddio#donttellmetheresnothingyoucantdo#WillSMITH1.”

The Suicide Squad actor and Fletcher were married from 1992 to 1995 and welcomed Trey, now 23, in November 1992.

Smith is also dad of son Jaden Smith, 18, and daughter Willow Smith, 16, with wife Jada Pinkett Smith. The couple have been married since 1997.

Smith Sr. grew up in Philadelphia’s Wynnefield and was a refrigeration engineer. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum reportedly once spoke about his dad during an interview with Essence magazine.

“Dad was tough but not tyrannical,” he said, via Entertainment Tonight. “He kept me in line. He’d get this look that said, ‘One more step, Will, and it’ll get ugly.’

He was an independent businessman — he set up refrigeration in supermarkets — and he always provided for us. He’s a steady and positive figure in my life.”
