The first picture displayed the 42-year-old star in her usual skin, probably when she was younger. Whereas, the other picture captured Beyonce donning blonde hair, and a black dress. The aspect that sparked all the rage was her white-appearing skin.

This characteristic of the picture ignited conversations about cultural appropriation, and Michael Jackson. Judging simply from that aspect could be misleading since the light exposure in cameras oftentimes lightens the subject’s appearance. The caption of the post read,
