Despite the PDA, some fans seem to think that they looked unhappy together.

Onlookers noted serious looks on both the Canadian pop singer and his model wife’s faces.

Justin stepped out wearing a black blazer with a white shirt underneath.

He accessorized with a white baseball cap, which he wore on his head backward.

The musician donned a baggy black pair of dress pants and matching shoes.

Hailey, meanwhile, was dressed in an oversized plush red coat that reached almost to the floor.

She wrapped the piece around her, covering up the rest of her body.

She had on semi-sheer black tights and a matching pair of heels.

The star also had on tiny black sunglasses and gold earrings.

Her hair was pulled back in a sexy updo and she wore a bold red lip.

Photos of the couple were posted to an online forum where critics accused them of calling the paparazzi on themselves.

One commenter speculated that they were publicly photographed together “to get the Internet talking, and perhaps to portray a happy marriage.”

Another shared snaps from inside the event, which showed Justin and Hailey in a photo booth.

The Victoria’s Secret model was smiling slightly while her beau held a stern face.

The commenter wrote sarcastically, “The happy couple,” adding an emoji with a squiggly mouth.

Someone else called the photo op a “contractual [obligation] for his arranged marriage.”

LOOKING LOVED-UP

While the latest photos of Hailey and Justin aren’t exactly PDA-packed, they have recently put on more loving displays.

On December 2, the couple posed together for a series of sexy snaps that showed them cuddling close.

Hailey posted a series of photos on her personal Instagram feed that showed her rocking a sheer black dress.

The piece consisted of a woven black material that had large holes throughout.

The neckline was a turtleneck but left her chest completely exposed via an oval-shaped cutout.

Hailey’s black underwear could be seen beneath the transparent ensemble.

Justin made an appearance next to her.

Amid rumors of marriage troubles, they posed looking in opposite directions.

Even though they were cuddling in the pic, fans felt they came off as somewhat cold toward one another.

Hailey herself captioned the carousel of snaps: “Frosty.”

The comments were largely supportive of the couple, however.

One fan exclaimed: “Mom and dad look so hot!!”

“I don’t care what anyone says, they’re soulmates,” a second defended.

Hailey and Justin’s marriage has been a hot topic for several months.

Rumors have been swirling that the pair were facing marriage troubles after fans noticed that they stopped being seen out together.

A source close to the couple claimed things haven’t been perfect between the pair.

The insider told Radar Online: “He acts like a needy kid all the time and she’s constantly having to apologize for him and try to get him to act like an adult.”

They also alleged that Hailey was fed up with Justin’s immature behavior after she was left embarrassed during an event they attended together to promote her skincare range Rhode.

The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in September.
