Diddy Denies Former Bodyguard’s Claim That He Wanted To Fight Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith Because They Made Sexual Advances At His Then-Girlfriend Jennifer Lopez
Entertainment mogul Diddy claims rumors about an old alleged beef with Will Smith are hearsay.
During a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the musician denied a circulating story about him wanting to fight the “Fresh Prince” star because he made passes at Jennifer Lopez while they were dating.
According to the rumor mill, Diddy, real name Sean Combs, allegedly wanted to “beat up” Will Smith previously for pursuing a threesome with his girlfriend at the time, Jennifer Lopez.
If you recall, the two musicians were the hot couple in music during the late ’90s. They sparked a romance back in ’99 before calling it quits a few years later in 2001.

The threesome rumor was revived by a man who claimed he once worked as Diddy’s bodyguard and was present when the “Last Night” artist discussed getting violent with Smith over the alleged situation.
Diddy, however, said the crazy allegation is not true. In response, the “Gotta Move On” artist recently stated to Kimmel:
“This show has gotten crazier since the last time. You really heard that? Nah.”
After Kimmel jokingly commented about not believing everything you read on the internet, Diddy added:
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Jimmy, I thought we was friends.”
The bodyguard in question, a man named Gene Deal, shared the story during an interview that resurfaced earlier this month. According to Deal, the “King Richard” star and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith wanted to recruit Lopez for a sexcapade, sparking Diddy’s wrath.

Deal claimed that while the celebs were all in the same room at a star-studded event, Diddy approached him and told him he believed the Smiths were “trying to pull Jennifer,” and threatened to “snuff” him if things kept going the way they were.
Laughing, Deal recalled telling the Bad Boys Records founder that he’d put his money on Will in the fight, stating:
“Will gone beat the sh*t out you…Imma see what he got,”
The moment is something Deal went on to state that he remembers “very well,” adding that Diddy was so worried about the Smiths that night when he should’ve been worried about Ben Affleck.
The “Gone Girl” star also attended the aforementioned event and ended up dating Lopez shortly after her split with Diddy from 2002 – 2004.
In an adorable full-circle moment, Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance nearly two decades after first getting together and officially tied the knot back in August of last year.
