BREAKING: Former NBA Star Involved In Serious Hit-And-Run Accident, “Thankful” To Be Alive

A former NBA star says he’s lucky to still be alive following a vehicular accident.

Charlie Villanueva, an ex-power forward who played for the Raptors, Bucks, Pistons, and Mavericks, was involved in a collision along with his wife while driving their Mercedes G wagon earlier this week.

A champion with UConn in 2004, the 39-year-old took to social media to detail the incident on Wednesday, revealing that the driver who rear-ended him took off.

“One thing we never take for granted is leaving the house and making it back home,” he wrote. “If you wondering what happened, my wife and I got hit bad by another car, and the crazy part is that whomever hit me, decided to run. Sore neck, sore back, messed up car, we are thankful to see another day.

“Our lives can’t be replaced, but the vehicle can. Thank you God for protecting us. We must walk in faith not by sight. 2023 is just preparing us for 2024. So to those whom 2023 has been a difficult year, a year of struggle be thankful, and don’t give up, because once you come out of the storm, you’ll see your true power.”

Villanueva spent 11 years in the NBA and averaged 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game playing for the aforementioned teams.

We’re just happy he and his wife are okay.
