Nami and Nojiko were brought back to Cocoyasi Village by Bell-mère, who intended to adopt the two kids there. The three grew closer than any actual family could. Nami’s passion for mapping and navigation began when she was young, and she always wanted to draw a comprehensive map of the entire globe.

But Arlong invaded their village, and that’s where her challenging tale started. However, there is no knowledge about her true parents and her lineage. A popular theory though suggests that Rudd’s character might be a princess because of her name which can be a clue for something.

Theory Suggests Nami Might Be a Princess

A common theory holds that each princess in One Piece has a name derived from a particular kind of flower. The scarlet flower is the source of Princess Scarlett’s name. The violet flower inspired Princess Viola’s name. The Shira Hoshi cactus inspired the name of Princess Shira Hoshi. Vivi bears the Vivi Violet’s name.

Given that Nami’s name derives from the Oki no Nami flower, there may be a suggestion that Nami is descended from royalty. Nami may have a natural affinity for wealth because of her ancestry, and her desire for wealth may indicate that she intended to lead a luxurious way of life long before the monarchy in which her family was a member was overthrown.

These points fit perfectly with Nami’s origin and maybe Rudd’s character is a princess and she does not it yet. If the theory is true, One Piece Live-action could hint at Rudd’s character being a royalty which would also fan the flames.
