Fleur East announced on New Year’s Day that she was expecting a child with husband Marcel Badiane-Robin.

The X Factor star, 36, took to Instagram to reveal the news with the sweet caption: ‘2024 is gonna be different’.

Marcel has worked with a host of  high-profile celebs as a stylist.

Who is Fleur East’s husband Meet Marcel Badiane-Robin?

Marcel Badiane-Robin is a French fashion designer and star stylist, including Rita Ora and Jason Derulo.

He founded the fashion brand Marr Lnd in 2017, but it dissolved in 2020.

Apart from his career, not much else is known about Marcel Badiane-Robin besides his relationship with Fleur.

The pair reportedly first met in 2009 at a bar and began dating the following year.

When did Fleur East get married?

Marcel had been with Fleur for nine years before popping the question in 2019.

The happy couple got married the same year at a lavish ceremony in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.

There were 120 guests present on the day, including the bride’s former I’m A Celebrity campmates Harry Redknapp and Malique Thompson-Dwyer.

Among the star-studded line-up was Fleur’s father Malcolm, who passed away in 2020, which she said made her even more grateful that she had tied the knot a year earlier.

She told Hello! magazine at the time: ‘Gosh, we’re so grateful. He got to walk me up the aisle and we have all those amazing memories as a family, not just as a couple, so that’s been comforting.

‘The feelings still come in waves – I see something and it reminds me and I get upset.

‘Then I’ll see something that makes me smile, so it’s ups and downs. His birthday was always around Father’s Day, so everything is a reminder, constantly.’

Does Fleur East have children?

Fleur told MailOnline shortly after her father died that she was ‘not waiting anymore’ to have children after she had previously insisted that she and her husband were in ‘no rush’.

She said in August 2020: ‘It’s interesting because before I was like, “I’ll take it as it comes, I’m not in a rush, we’ve got time.”

‘But as soon as you lose someone, you’re like “Wow OK, you can’t really plan for anything, nothing’s promised.”

‘So it’s changed my views on that definitely. I’m a bit more open to the idea of starting a family now.

‘I’m still not planning it, but I’m not waiting and saying “I’ll start in a year” or anything like that. We are just letting things happen naturally now!’

Three and a half years later the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
