This Morning fans were baffled when Monday’s show opened with a ‘sofa of winners’.
Josie Gibson returned to present the ITV programme alongside Craig Doyle, shortly after her I’m A Celebrity stint in Australia.
After welcoming Josie back, the duo announced to viewers that they had several exciting guests in the studio.
I’m A Celebrity’s King of the Jungle Sam Thompson and Strictly Come Dancing winners Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola were welcomed to the sofa to be interviewed at the same time.
Speaking about the trio’s appearance on the show, Josie said: ‘The team has lined up an epic show for my return because today we have the winners of two of the biggest shows on TV, that’s right, it’s the King of the Jungle Sam Thompson and Strictly champions Ellie and Vito.’

As they walked into cheering and clapping from the studio and sat down, Josie added: ‘Well done you. A sofa of winners, I bet it’s been a whirlwind for you guys hasn’t it.’
Sam was first to respond, turning to Ellie and Vito and saying: ‘I actually watched you guys in the final, you smashed it. I got to hold their Glitterball as well, which was fun.’
Craig quipped: ‘Let’s talk about that moment that you’ve all experienced over the last week or so when your name is announced.’
Ellie said she was ‘speechless and grateful’, while Sam added it has ‘felt like a dream’.
Viewers were left confused with the chaotic interview, with one penning: ‘Kind of annoying that Sam and Ellie & Vito’s interviews aren’t separate’
Another said: ‘Sorry but why do we need them all on together much rather Ellie and Vito do their own separate interview the decline of This Morning continues.’
A third added: ‘Why are all 3 on at the same time.. bit weird’
Ellie spoke about the low-key way she celebrated her victory after Saturday night’s finale.
The former Coronation Street actress, 22, became the show’s youngest ever winner as she pipped Bobby Brazier and Layton Williams to the post by storming to victory with her dance partner and rumoured boyfriend Vito Coppola, 31.

Ellie discussed her win, revealing of her celebrations: ‘I feel like is never going to feel real. Yesterday I was like what is going on and lay in bed all day and went for tea with my family’.
With Ellie headed out with her family, Vito admitted that he ‘wanted to eat the whole day’ – something Ellie insisted was not out of the ordinary.
Also appearing on the magazine show was Sam Thompson , who won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here earlier this month, as he spoke about his own win – branding the moment ‘the most amazing moment I have ever experienced’.
During the show, Ellie was spotted whispering a sweet message to Vito moments after their win as they were seen lifting the glitterball trophy together.
After Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced they were the winners, the soap star immediately broke down in happy tears. She proudly gushed under her breath to Vito: ‘This is for you’.
Her heartfelt comment left the professional dancer nearly lost for words, until he responded: ‘ I mean this is like the cherry on the cake, all the bruises and blisters, you have been so amazing, you are Strictly.
‘You represent Strictly. You are the diamond, you are shining.’
Ellie broke her silence on her Strictly win as she paid an emotional tribute Vito.
Speaking about what it was like to secure the glitterball trophy, the soap star said: ‘Words cannot describe how I am feeling right now and I cannot believe we have just won Strictly Come Dancing 2023.
‘It’s been a life-changing opportunity and I’ve had the time of my life dancing with Vito every week. It has been so special and to be able to do it with such a great teacher has made it an experience I will never forget.

‘Thank you so much for that, Vito, and thank you for finding the dancer in me. We couldn’t have won without the voting public, so a huge thank you to everyone at home who picked up the phone for us, we appreciate every single one of you!
‘Finally, a big congratulations to all the finalists and all the 2023 cast, who are incredible and came alongside this journey with me.’
Vito gushed: ‘This is unbelievable, thank you so much to everyone who voted for us, we love you and it means the world to us! Ellie, my Lulu, I am SO so proud of you…
‘I have seen how hard you have worked, the dedication and determination you have shown and how much you have grown as a person these past 3 months.
‘We’ve had the best time dancing together, and I’ve enjoyed every second of it! Thank you for being the best dance partner and thank you to everyone who has supported us each week and voted for us!’
Ellie and Vito, who are rumoured to be an item, were both gobsmacked when their names were announced with the soap star’s family breaking down in tears as they watched from the studio audience.

The overwhelmed duo choked back tears as they embraced before speaking to hosts Tess and Claudia.
‘I actually, genuinely cannot believe this,’ a stunned Ellie muttered before exclaiming that this was the first time she had ever seen Vito cry.
‘This is for you!’ Ellie told her partner, who said the win was just the ‘cherry on the top’ before branding her a ‘diamond’.
They raised the glitterball trophy as pyrotechnics sparked and confetti fell from the ceiling as they were lifted onto the shoulders of their former competitors.
