Before Time Skip, Usopp Helped the Crew A Lot

In the story of One Piece, the Straw Hat Pirates are a pirate crew. At first, there were only five members, including a guy named Usopp, who joined the crew as a sniper. As the story goes on, the crew changes and grows. Usopp starts off scared, but he becomes brave when it’s important.

Before a significant time jump in the story, Usopp helped the crew a lot. He fought with them against a bad guy named Kuro and helped them get their first ship. However, later, there’s a problem with their ship, and Usopp leaves because he feels weak. He and Luffy, the leader, have a tough fight in which Usopp loses and leaves the crew.

During a significant battle in the Enies Lobby Arc, Usopp realized he had made a mistake and then helped the Straw Hat Pirate save a friend named Nico Robin. After that, he apologized to Luffy and rejoined the crew for their journey. Even though Usopp had played crucial roles before the time jump, it appears that his role diminished after the two-year break.

After Time-Skip, Usopp Becomes a Passenger on the Ship

After a two-year time skip, Usopp becomes more like a passenger on the ship. Like the rest of the crew, he has grown a lot during the time skip. Fans were surprised to see him more muscular after the time skip, thinking he would perform better with improved tactics and strength. However, his role becomes smaller.

His biggest moment since the time skip occurred in the Dressrosa arc, where he prevented Sugar from turning Law and Luffy into toys. Unfortunately, he hasn’t achieved much in the subsequent arcs.

Even in the Wano arc, where every crew member experiences significant growth and secures victories over notable characters, Usopp doesn’t achieve a noteworthy win, disappointing the fans. However, the story isn’t over yet, and he’s still one of the main characters, so there’s still time for him to make a comeback.
