Most human beings with blood in their veins and good intentions love our furry companions and best friends par excellence: dogs. However, people like the one in the following story go to the extreme of solidarity with these noble four-legged beings who live on the street.
Danny Robertshaw and Ron Danta , are a couple living in Florida, United States, who have come to adopt up to 75 dogs at home , managing to rescue them from mistreatment committed by people beyond all consideration, as well as from kennels.
Each and every one of the animals has the permission to roam freely through all the spaces of your home. Danny and Ron , in addition to showering them with triple affection, taking care of them and watching over their vaccinations and sterilization, give them confidence before sending them to a safe forever home .
“They can get on sofas, furniture, and on some nights we could have 17 dogs in bed with us . It is a system that helps a lot for puppies that come from farms, or that have been abused, so that they feel confident,” said Ron Danta.
The love and dedication for the animals of the rescue couple is lost sight of. Both are truly incredible: since they began sheltering animals 13 years ago , they have saved more than 12,500 animals from death .
They have always been very passionate. His pro-animal adventure began with the voluntary rescue of 600 stray dogs after the devastating Hurricane Katrina. It was at that fateful moment in 2008 that they both established themselves as protector Danny & Ron’s Rescue.
Definitely, they realized that they had been born to fulfill this laudable mission of removing puppies from situations that threaten their integrity and health. Sharing their roof with them brings them joy and unconditional love.
Thus, they created this system to welcome animals: instead of keeping them in cages, they preferred to leave them free in the garden of their house , allowing them to use and have all the space possible so that they are comfortable and feel protected.
“Our effort has been tremendously valued over the years. Many of the pets live happily in a new foster home , thanks to what we do at Danny & Ron’s Rescue,” Danny said.
For both, the main thing is the number of innocent lives they have been able to change. They advocate for life, and euthanasia is simply not an option for them.
They also released their own documentary called Life in the Doghouse , where they show their daily work at home with all the animals, and the difficulties they face.
This is a demonstration of people who take animal welfare very seriously, and therefore deserve all our recognition and admiration. Share this story with your loved ones and close friends.
