Pop star Taylor Swift has repeatedly received tickets from the New York City Department of Sanitation for regularly leaving trash on the sidewalk in front of her building.

Nypost reported that from January 2018 to January 2023, Taylor was fined 32 times, totaling $3,010, according to city records. Sanitation inspectors ticketed Taylor for not cleaning the area in front of the building, leaving the sidewalk dirty and littered with trash.

The Bad Blood singer is said to be responsible for keeping the space in front of his $18 million three-story street-front building in Tribeca, New York, clean. A dog walker through Taylor Swift’s property told Nypost: “She doesn’t care about trash being thrown outside the building. I think she’s more focused on her multi-million dollar tour.” .

Fans spoke up to defend Taylor Swift on this issue. They assumed that the trash in front of her house was from paparazzi as well as fans – people who gathered here hoping to see the pop star. Swifties argued that Taylor never smoked, so the cigarette scraps could have been smoked by fans waiting for her while killing time.

Taylor Swift bought the house at 153 Franklin St., Tribeca in 2017. The singer converted it into a private entrance for her large $30 million penthouse in the building next door at 155 Franklin St.

Taylor’s former landlord in West Village, New York – where she rented temporary accommodation while renovating her house in Tribeca – David Aldea said he was surprised to hear that the singer was fined. “She was a perfect tenant the entire time she lived in my house. I have nothing to criticize and can only say positive things about her,” said David.
