According to midfielder Miralem Pjanic, of the two former teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo makes him feel more interesting than Lionel Messi.

During the 2018-2020 period, Pjanic and Ronaldo together brought two consecutive Serie A to Juventus. The Bosnian midfielder played 87 matches, and the Portuguese striker played 89 matches. Pjanic moved to Barca in July 2020, according to the Arthur swap contract. However, he only played one season, appearing on the field 30 times and starting 13 times for the Spanish team. After that, Barca loaned Besiktas for one season, then liquidated the contract. Pjanic won the only title with Messi, the 2020-2021 King’s Cup. From summer 2022, he will go to the UAE to play for Sharjah FC.
Pjanic’s only season playing for Barca was also Messi’s last season at this club. After President Joan Laporta refused to extend his contract, the Argentine striker joined PSG on a free basis. Last July, Messi went to the US to play for Inter Miami.
“I was lucky to play with both Ronaldo and Messi, and it’s hard to say who is better. However, when I play with Ronaldo, I feel happier,” Pjanic said on O Jogo channel on October 24.
The Bosnian midfielder also confirmed that he talked a lot and had many memories with Ronaldo. He considers the Portuguese superstar to be the best player he has ever played with. “He is among the two, or three best players in history,” Pjanic added.
Messi holds the record of winning 44 collective titles. He won four Champions Leagues and 10 La Ligas with Barca, two Ligue 1s with PSG, Copa America 2021, Intercontinental Super Cup 2022 and World Cup 2022 with Argentina. Messi also holds the record of seven Golden Balls and six European Golden Shoes. If he wins the 2023 Golden Ball, where he is the number one candidate, the 36-year-old striker will set a new record.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo won one Champions League and three Premier Leagues with Man Utd, four Champions Leagues and two La Ligas with Real Madrid, two Serie A with Juventus, Euro 2016 and Nations League 2019 with Portugal. At the Golden Ball award, he won five times and ranked right behind Messi.
Paco Gento, the late left wing striker of Real Madrid, still holds the record of winning six C1/Champions League Cups. Meanwhile, Pele holds the record of winning three World Cups, the biggest title at the team level, after winning the throne in 1958, 1962 and 1970.
