On a virtual screen on a building in China, a promotional video of Bartholomew Kuma’s birthday was shown which featured a birthday message for the character and indirectly promoted the series and the Egghead Island arc, one of its most important arcs in the series. However, the exact location of the building is unknown.

Along with the promotional birthday message, the video featured a flashback of Kuma’s past with some visuals from the One Piece manga’s latest chapters. It showed his journey from a child to the cyborg he became later on, in bits of him running somewhere.

The promotional material also demonstrates the influence the Kuma flashback has had on the fans’ reaction to the show, particularly during the period when the Egghead arc was being criticized by many.

However, this demonstration of Kuma’s journey might have worked against them as instead of becoming a form of advertisement for the series, it became a huge spoiler for the fans who have yet to catch up to the events of manga in One Piece.
