In 2024, we could finally see the most awaited battle between Shanks and Blackbeard

If this was not enough, Oda sensei made a thrilling announcement to the fans during the Jump Festa, which stated that 2024 would be a very amazing and exciting year for the manga as there would be a battle between two unexpected characters, which fans speculated to be Shanks, who would be facing Blackbeard.

Eiichiro Oda might pitch Blackbeard against Shanks in the upcoming One Piece chapters

The story written by Oda sensei is second to none and has a fanbase consisting of millions of people who grew up with the series.

Despite its original start two decades ago, the story still has numerous unexplored regions and awaited clashes between powerhouses yet to be drawn.

One such mysterious yet fan-favorite character is Shanks, who rarely makes his appearance but always does it in style.

During Jump Fest 2024, Oda sensei wrote a letter to the fans, which was announced to the audience by none other than Luffy’s voice actor.

In the letter, he states that maybe that character would fight another character, and their battle would have several implications for the story.

Many believe it to be Shanks since he rarely fights, but he has stated his desire to start looking for One Piece, and Blackbeard is his longtime enemy.

Blackbeard also caused suffering to Luffy and his crew, and if fate sets up these two against each other, then the fans are in for a fight that will go down in the history of One Piece.
