Jujutsu Kaisen is on one of the most generational runs in recent years, with each chapter increasing the anticipation of fans.
Following the battle between the two strongest characters in the series, Gojo Satoru and Ryumen Sukuna, in which the king of curses emerged victorious, the story chattered into unknown territory, with nobody able to predict what would happen next.
Yuta’s Copy technique
On the other hand, the man behind all, none other than Kenjaku, was battling Takaba and having the time of his life when he was ambushed by the prodigy of Jujustu College, Okkatsu Yuta, who dealt a decisive blow, severing Kenjaku’s head. Surprisingly, he used Todo’s technique, which many fans overlooked.
Yuta used Todo’s technique to kill Kenjaku in the latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen
Chapter 242 of Jujutsu Kaisen shocked everyone and turned the series into a more exciting and thrilling story with the demise of Kenjaku.
As seen in previous chapters, Kenjaku was engaged in a battle with Takaba; however, it was not a battle since Kenjaku himself was enjoying his time.
For the first time in centuries, he forgot about his grand plans and enjoyed the moment rather than planning something devious.
However, his plans were put to an end by Yuta, who ambushed Kenjaku and severed his head, landing a devastating blow.
Kenjaku enjoying his time with Takaba.
Kenjaku was one second ahead when Yuta appeared out of the bush, but due to Yuta’s place-swapping technique, Kenjaku failed to anticipate the motion and got killed.
Despite Todo’s technique, in which he claps his hands and changes his position, Yuta can do it without clapping, showing his brilliance and why he is termed the second-strongest sorcerer behind Gojo.
However, Takaba’s final words were, My will shall carry on, which might be setting up Itadori as the prime candidate to lead the plans that Kenjaku couldn’t fulfill himself.
Is this the end for Kenjaku in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Characters returning from near death is a common phenomenon in shonen and has been done before in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Gojo came back from near death when he was a teenager and fought Toji, who did not sever the head of the six-eye user.
Takaba made Kenjaku lower his guard
Kenjaku is arguably the most ingenious villain in recent years, with fans comparing him to characters such as Aizen due to his brilliance.
However, this is the end of Kenjaku. After all, as he mentions in the chapter, he failed to notice Yuta’s presence because he did not want to be interrupted by anyone from outside.
Kenjaku still can body hope, but seeing who becomes his next vessel would be interesting. As things stand, Kenjaku might bid farewell to Jujutsu Kaisen forever.
