Dwayne Johnson is now an International superstar, but started life off working in a pizza place
Johnson spoke to Oprah Winfrey about his first job, he said: “My first job was working in a pizza shop called Emilio’s Pizza
“My pay was $3.45 per hour and my job was of a dish washer. I worked every day from 3pm in the afternoon until 11:30pm at night.
“When I got out of school I was able to just go right over there and start work.”
Johnson went on to speak about the lessons that his first job taught him and how it helped his future success.
He said: “I have learnt from that, such a great appreciation for hard work and putting in hard work.
“It sounds crazy, but still to this day I never use a dishwasher and I was every dish by hand.”
Johnson is a far cry from those days now and in fact topped the Forbes list of highest paid actors for two years running in 2019 and 2020.
Johnson fought in the WWE on and off for over 20 years under his famous nickname, The Rock.
He was also part of the University of Miami’s 1991 National Championship American Football team.
But he is now most commonly known for his acting after appearing in mega movies such as Moana and Fast and Furious.
