The Soul Split Katana has established itself as the strongest Cursed Tool in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Gege Akutami has created an interesting world with Jujutsu Kaisen. There are several characters with different capabilities that are deadly in their way. If individuals come into play, the two people who would stand at the peak are Ryomen Sukuna and Satoru Gojo. But that is a never-ending topic. Jujutsu Kaisen is so carefully written that there are hardly any flaws in the plot.

One of the greatest things about Gege Akutami is that, even though they created a few of the strongest characters in the anime world, he also created a few of the strongest weapons that can be used to slash these monsters. While many might argue that Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga’s Sword of Extermination Cursed Tool might be the strongest, there is another weapon that holds the most potent power in Jujutsu Kaisen.

The Soul Split Katana is considered to be the strongest Cursed Tool in Jujutsu Kaisen. As the name suggests directly cuts through the soul. The weapon does not take into account how hard the skin is or how powerful the Cursed Technique is. With just a slice, it can end someone’s life. The Cursed Tool was first wielded by Toji Fushiguro and he used it to assassinate Riko Amanai.

The Soul Split Katana was first time shown in Jujutsu Kaisen when the strongest cursed spirit under Suguru Geto ate Toji, and he used the katana to split it open almost without any difficulty. The Cursed Tool won’t see whether Satoru Gojo or Ryumen Sukuna is in front of it, it will directly slice through their attacks, skin, and soul if used correctly.

While it was not shown how Toji Fushiguro got such a powerful katana, Maki Zen’in found a replica of it thanks to her twin sister. After her father gave her a fatal injury, she sacrificed herself to create the most powerful weapon for her sister. Mai’s sacrifice completed Maki’s Heavenly Restriction, and he reached Toji Fushiguro’s level and wielded the most power open in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Even though the Soul Split Katana is considered to be the strongest weapon in Jujutsu Kaisen, there is a condition to use it to its highest potential. The user of the Cursed Tool first needs to perceive the soul of his enemy. If the user can’t do it, they will not be able to use the weapon. So, in a way, the only catch is that the user needs to maintain utmost concentration during the fight to perceive the enemy.

The Cursed tool that comes to a close second is another weapon wielded by Toji Fuhsiguro – The Inverted Spear of Heaven. It was powerful enough to nullify Satoru Gojo’s Limitless. Toji Fushiguro, even though he did not have any Cursed Energy, had access to a few of the most powerful weapons in Gege Akutami’s magnum opus. There might be more powerful weapons introduced later in the manga, but for now, the Soul Split Katana takes the throne.
