On getting to know Kaz in the villa first, Luis said: ‘It was really good getting to know Kaz at first, I felt like there could potentially be something there initially, but me and Demi had a lot more in common.
‘Kaz is a lovely girl and I wish her all the best.’
Elsewhere in the episode, the contestants were also left reeling after series seven contestant Tyler entered the villa.
He came in fourth place alongside Kaz and the couple dated for three months afterwards before they split.
As he went to steal Kaz from Luis, Tyler said: ‘I’ve stolen to steal this girl because despite being surrounded by all these good looking girls, she is the only girl I want to couple up with at this moment in time.’
Afterwards Kaz admitted she was ‘shocked’ by the situation and questioned his reasoning for picking her.
Tensions rose as he replied: ‘I’ve just got in here. We’ll have a talk. Why are you doing this now?’
When she explained that she did not feel he gave her a reason for choosing her, he said: ‘We haven’t even had a talk in two years… so we’ll have a conversation.’
Before entering the villa, he said of seeing Kaz again: ‘I haven’t seen Kaz for two years, which is a long time. She is a lovely girl and has a heart of gold. There shouldn’t be any bad blood between us, especially not on my side. Kaz deserves the world.

Chris Taylor looked happy to have been chosen by Arabella in the recoupling this week
‘I won’t know how I feel seeing her until I see her.’
On his decision to return to Love Island, Tyler said: ‘It’s the perfect place to find love because it’s stripped back to the old school ways of dating. You’re not hiding behind a screen or sliding into DM’s.
‘It is literally you and the person you’re interested in, which means you can understand the vibe a lot better. You go back to basics and live in the moment.’
