While Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James seems set to miss out on adding another ring to his collection, that doesn’t mean he won’t be getting any jewelry.

King James received a customized, iced out chain with a pendant commemorating his establishment as the NBA’s top scorer in history from high-end jeweler Eliantte.

The piece features a massive lion’s head wearing his Nike ‘crown’ logo that is seen on each pair of his signature shoes with diamonds all over the pendant.

On the reverse side of the piece, it details James’ story throughout his NBA career – including the three teams he played on: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers.

James was gifted this chain from the Lakers and the NBA in recognition of him passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most points by a player in a career.

LeBron shared the chain on his Instagram story, thanking Eliantte and the Lakers for the gift.

He beat Abdul-Jabbar’s 34-year record amid a stunning performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Los Angeles on February 7.

James went into the game against OKC needing 36 points to overtake the record of 38,387 – which was set by Abdul-Jabbar in 1989.

The 38-year-old claimed the record with 10.9 seconds remaining in the third quarter with a trademark fadeaway dagger. He finished with 38 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 133-130 defeat.

However, James doesn’t seem set to be working on adding to his jewelry collection with a ring any time soon.

James has been sidelined with an injury in his right foot that the team said would see him miss ‘significant time’.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the injury will be reevaluated in three weeks – but it’s likely that won’t be the end of his recovery.

Meanwhile the Lakers are struggling without him – holding a 32-34 record and only barely hanging on in the NBA playoff race – sitting ninth in the Western Conference and half a game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Portland Trail Blazers.
