Jujutsu Kaisen officially announces Season 3 which will adapt the Culling Games Arc.
SUMMARY
The official website of Jujutsu Kaisen has disclosed that a third season of the anime will adapt the Culling Games arc.
Despite the show’s formal announcement, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3’s release date and episode count are unknown.
The Culling Game Arc is the 9th arc in Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga and is even more vicious than the Shibuya Arc.
Undoubtedly, one of the most heartbreaking seasons of anime history ever ended with the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 finale. As Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season draws to a close with its thrilling finale, the anime’s official website has revealed that a third season will adapt the Culling Games arc.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Last Scene
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen adapted two storylines: the Shibuya Incident Arc and the Premature Death/Hidden Inventory Arc. After being finished, the Shibuya Incident arc has grown to be one of the best in the entire series.
Concerns regarding the anime’s upcoming season increased in the wake of the recent controversy surrounding Studio MAPPA. Nevertheless, with the reveal of the Culling Game arc, all concerns were addressed.
In celebration of season two’s conclusion and to confirm season three, Toho Animation released a teaser trailer for the third season, which featured some manga panels from the forthcoming Culling Games arc. The announcement was made via a video posted on the official website of the series.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Officially Announced
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen ran from July to December 2023. A few weeks after the first “Hidden Inventory Arc,” the “Shibuya Incident Arc” started. Jujutsu Kaisen’s third season will focus on the Culling Game storyline from Gege Akutami’s original manga.
As anticipated, Shōta Goshozono, the director of the previous installment, will lead the same production team for the new season. The release date and number of episodes for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 are unknown despite the show’s official announcement. Over the next few months, fans will have to wait for MAPPA to confirm all of these details.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 3
Given that the second season debuted two years after the first, the third season will probably transpire according to the same schedule. However, there are two smaller arcs before the Culling Games Arc that the story will probably adapt along with the Culling Games.
These two arcs are Itadori’s Extermination Arc and Perfect Preparation Arc. Together, the two arcs only have 22 chapters. The Culling Game Arc, on the other hand, has 63 chapters.

The Storyline of Culling Games Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen
According to the teaser trailer, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will adapt the Culling Game arc, which pits our favorite sorcerers against each other in a scenario akin to a battle royale and is instigated by none other than Noritoshi Kamo also known as Kenjaku.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
Jujutsu Kaisen’s team put out a description of the Culling Games arc on their official website that read:
“The production of “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Shimetsu Kaiyu”, which dynamically depicts the killing of those who have been given a spell created by the mysterious and worst magician in history, Norihito Kamo, has been decided!”
As hinted at in the teaser, Kenjaku has some sinister plans in store, and we will finally witness Yuji and Yuta square off against one another.
