Actress Jada Pinkett Smith said she has no plans to divorce ‘Men In Black’ actor Will Smith even though they have been separated since 2016.

Jada said on The Drew Barrymore show on November 28: “We will be together forever. I tried, we all tried.”

Previously, at an event promoting her memoir, the 52-year-old actress revealed that she will not leave Will Smith and “he has no intention of leaving me either”.

In October, when Jada had a conversation with the audience at a library in Baltimore, Will Smith suddenly appeared. The 55-year-old actor hugged his wife on stage, saying Jada was the best friend on the planet and he would support her all his life. The Oscar-winning star also shared with the audience: “We had a very long and tumultuous relationship. It was both brutal and beautiful.”

The crowd cheered enthusiastically, while Jada Pinkett Smith stood by and smiled. The son and daughter of the star couple, singers Jaden and Willow Smith, stood backstage excitedly cheering their parents on.

In her memoir released last month, Jada shocked everyone when she revealed that she and her husband had secretly separated for 7 years, each living in a different place. Jada and Will have been married since 1997 and have two children together. Throughout the years of living separately, the couple and their children still appeared together at events like a close-knit family.

Jada said that it was Will Smith rushing on stage to slap comedian Chris Rock to protect his wife at the 2022 Oscars that made her feel that their relationship was closer. “That was the moment I decided I was going to be with him,” she said on The One Show. “You know, it’s funny how stressful situations can amplify love. It was a difficult time, but it brought us closer together.”

Looking back on a marriage full of ups and downs, Jada contemplates: “We loved each other, then separated and found emotional independence, then got together again. It was a profound learning process about how Love”.
