Inside rapper Drake’s over $100M luxury mansion in Canada

With a vast expanse of 4,645 square meters, the Toronto residence of superstar Aubrey Drake Graham stands as a unique architectural marvel, adorned with magnificent features such as a radiant basketball court and an impressive pyramid skylight spanning nearly 2 square meters.

This Manor House is a vivid reflection of the owner’s extravagant persona and exquisite taste.

Unlike the conventional glossy plaster walls and ostentatious yet uninspiring furnishings, Drake sought a different vision for his home.

To bring his dream to life, he enlisted the expertise of Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli, who transformed the interiors into masterpieces of craftsmanship, employing materials like limestone, bronze, rare woods, and other noble elements.

In an interview, Drake articulated his vision: “This building is in my hometown, so I wɑnтeɗ it to endure for a century. I desired it to be a monumental structure, something I could feel. It’s a legacy I’m leaving to the world, so it had to exude strength and timeless elegance.”

The architectural inspiration behind the house draws from the classical Beaux Arts style, refined and contemporized to blend classic aesthetics with a modern sensibility. In terms of materials and construction techniques, it embodies the spirit of a 19th-century limestone castle, yet it maintains minimalist external lines, resulting in a more streamlined appearance.

Rafauli describes the interior as “crazysexycool” modern Art Deco, a harmonious fusion of historical elements reborn to align with the spirit of the times and the refined tastes of the discerning homeowner.

Drake emphasized, “Once you commit to a particular style, you must dance to its rhythm. This house epitomizes the pinnacle of luxury. It conveys that message through room proportions, materials, and intricate details on the floors and ceilings. I wɑnтeɗ people to view it as a piece of cherished residential art that I would treasure for years to come.”

Indeed, the scale of the rooms sets the stage for an exceptional family experience. Upon entering the foyer, one is greeted by an expansive staircase and surroundings adorned with solid limestone walls and Nero Marquina marble panels gracefully extending to the ceiling, while antique mirror surfaces are framed in bronze.

The great room, soaring 4.1 meters in height, culminates in a bespoke grand piano by renowned piano maker Bösendorfer.

Drake’s world is inseparable from music, and this house provides the perfect canvas for a genuine artistic experience.

A standout feature of the great room is the iconic Metropolitan chandelier by Lobmeyr, originally designed by Hans Harald Rath to grace the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.

Adorned with 20,000 hand-cut Swarovski crystals, this dazzling luminary sculpture is the second-largest installation of its kind worldwide.

One of Drake’s favorite sanctuaries within the house is the expansive 300-square-foot bedroom, complete with a 102-square-foot covered terrace. It’s where he retreats from the world’s hustle and bustle at night and greets each new day with joy.

The bathroom provides a space for relaxation and introspection, while the walk-in closet serves as a personal dialogue with his impeccable fashion sense.

Every design detail in this realm seems divinely inspired.

The weighty bed and bed base, surpassing the mass of an average house, exude opulence. The headboard showcases antique mirrors and premium leather upholstery, concealing a whiskey and champagne cabinet.

Inlaid mother-of-pearl graces the headboard, and an Alexander McQueen carpet from the Rug Company adorns the bedspread.

The residence also boasts a world-class recording studio, a kitchen adorned with La Cornue’s latest innovations, an awards room chronicling Drake’s journey from childhood to stardom, and an indoor swimming pool, adorned with shimmering black granite.

In every corner, God is in the details, making this home a true masterpiece.
