Kawaki being the reincarnation of Madara Uchiha may sound insane but the logic behind it, is not too far-fetched.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations began with a clip of Kawaki taking on Boruto Uzumaki, with both having activated the Karma marks.

Since day one, people knew that Kawaki is one of the main protagonist and have come with several fan theories, one of which claim him to be the reincarnation of Madara Uchiha.

Madara Uchiha had devised a plan for him demise and then reincarnation, so it is not a far-fetched thing to claim that he can reincarnate himself, moreover, he might look to finish what he started using the Otsutsuki power and the Karma mark.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has been one of the main talking points in the anime world in 2023. The reason behind this is not the anime but the manga. Like Naruto, Boruto also had a time-skip, and the protagonist returned as a more mature version of himself.

He is calmer and composed and has greatly improved his arsenal along with a redefining form of the legendary Rasengan.

On the other hand, one of the protagonists of the anime, Kawaki, has also gone through quite a transformation. Seeing such developments, the fans could not wait to cook up some insane theories.

One of the insane fan theories claimed that Kawaki is the reincarnation of Madara Uchiha. While it sounds insane, the reason behind this claim is quite logical.

The first clip of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations saw Boruto and Kawaki battling on the top of the destroyed Hokage faces, and beside them lies the destroyed Konohagakure. They both had their Karma activated.

From that moment, it was established that Kawaki would be the main antagonist of the anime. But coming back to the present time, he seems to be a better guy than Naruto’s son and has a close relationship with Naruto after he saves him.

The fan theory about Kawaki being the reincarnation of Madara claims that he is doing it to earn the Seventh’s trust. In the past, he did the same with Obito Uchiha. When the time comes, he will bring his real identity in front of the people. As for reincarnation, Madara Uchiha has proved that he is quite capable of doing such things.

Madara Uchiha always wanted world peace, but his methods were drastic and damaging to many. As Momoshiki had told Boruto, his blue eyes (indicating his Dojutsu) would cause destruction, and he would destroy everyone that are close to Boruto. So, in a way, Madara might want to stop all that destruction. For that to happen, he will most likely have to kill Boruto.

In the initial stages, the anime had received mixed reviews, but as it went further into the story, it seemed to pick up the story. There are several fan theories surrounding the anime, but the one about Kawaki being Madara Uchiha’s reincarnation is surely an eye-catcher. It is not so far-fetched to think that this is not possible, considering he might want to finish what he started years ago.

Moreover, before Boruto, only two people had become Otsutsuki – Kawaki and Madara. Boruto, having the Jougan, has a massive amount of chakra, and Madara, through Kawaki, will try to steal that power.

Madara Uchiha can go to any limits to fulfill his wish. So, it will be an interesting development if this fan theory proves to be true. For the moment, it will remain a fan theory until there is an official confirmation.
