The Lakers’ victory against the Raptors this Tuesday was marred by a big controversy in the final minutes. For some fans and observers, the referees would have clearly favored Los Angeles with light whistles. LeBron James disagrees.

After a big crisis at the end of the In-Season Tournament, the Lakers must string together victories if they want to avoid the always very complicated play-in at the end of the season. If everything is not perfect, the place of Darvin Ham is more and more questioned by the fans, the Purple and Gold still have two successes in a row.

The first against the Clippers in a particularly competitive Los Angeles derby, the second against the Raptors this Tuesday. But what emerges the day after this new good result is a big controversy around the arbitration.

The Toronto coach also let his anger explode violently at a press conference , in order to denounce what he considers to be a shame. Several whistles, given or forgotten, caused debate.

LeBron sees no controversy after Lakers victory

In the last quarter of this match which was played in 1 small point, the Lakers went to the free throw line 23 times, compared to 2 for the Raptors. A difference that inevitably drove fans, some observers, crazy, but not LeBron James . Questioned at a press conference, the King gave a most insolent response.

I feel like they made mistakes, not us.
LeBron James does not see any controversy in the difference in free throws, for him the Raptors just had to not make any mistakes in the final minutes if they wanted to have a chance of winning. Words which may not please his evening opponents, but which allow the Lakers to overcome the general outrage.

For LeBron James, the only controversy of the match was the number of fouls made by the Raptors in the final minutes. He does not believe that he was favored by the referees and did not even want to give more importance than that to the controversy.
