I’m A Celebrity legend Kadeena Cox has sparked concern with a heartbreaking post about a family member’s cancer battle.

The Paralympian cyclist, 32, shared a snap on her instagram of her holding and stroking an unidentified loved one’s hand while they are in hospice.

Kadeena accompanied the post with an emotional caption that began with a heartbroken emoji.

She continued: “2024 cherish your loved ones. #cancersucks #family #cancerwarrior #hospice.”

The Leeds-born athlete, who competed on ITV’s hit reality show in 2021, did not specify who was poorly in her family.

The Sun has contacted her rep for comment.

One follower commented: “Cancer does really suck! I lost my mum when I was in my 20s and it left a massive hole in my heart. I am sending love to you and all the people people in the comments and reading this so much love.”

A second added: “Bless you. I lost my husband to cance 2019. Its horrible. My condolences. Make sure to take care of yourself.”

A third said: “Sending you so much love, Kad. I was there with my Grandad.”

“You’re in my thoughts. I wish you the best love,” wrote a fourth.

Kadeena began sprinting competitively aged just 15 years old and went on to run 100metres in under 12 seconds as an able-bodied athlete.

A stroke in 2014 led to her being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

She had a burning sensation in her arm which worsened to tingling and then numbness in the whole arm and across her body, including both legs.

In Rio 2016, Kadeena became the first British Paralympian to win gold medals in multiple sports at the same games since 1984.

She won gold in the women’s cycling time trial and in the 400m sprint, as well as bronze in the 100m sprint.

In 2021, Kadeena won Celebrity MasterChef – and it’s not her first foray into the world of reality TV.

Kadeena has also appeared on Celebrity Bake-Off, Celebrity Gogglebox and even won Celebrity Robot Wars.
