Viewers claimed they sussed the reason Nick left the show early on

HOLLYOAKS star Nick Pickard has been snubbed twice after two I’m A Celeb stars failed to follow him on social media.

The Hollyoaks star became the fourth campmate to be eliminated by the public and the sixth to leave overall after Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears left on medical grounds.

Many found the popular actor’s exit “unfair” and claimed he had less airtime than his co-stars, having cruised through his jungle stay without causing drama.

However, there could be more to it than meets the eye as it appears he has been forgotten by two of his co-stars who have yet to follow him on Instagram.

Nick has also so far refused to hit the follow button on the pair – YouTube sensation Nella Rose and JLS pop star Marvin Humes – and Nigel Farage, while he follows everybody else in the 2023 line-up.

It comes as viewers claimed they’d sussed why Nick was voted out of the jungle early on.

One person complained on X: “Maybe if you gave Nick some of the airtime you gave Josie tonight he would still be in it.”

Another vented: “Absolutely fuming Nick has gone! He didn’t get hardly any air time and that won’t have helped but he is such a lovely guy.”

A third said: “I don’t know why people are surprised that Nick is evicted I expected him to leave after Frankie as I felt like him Frankie and Grace had the least airtime this season. He seems like such a nice guy though.”

In his first televised interview after the show, Nick admitted he was “glad to be out”.

The 48-year-old, who is best known for playing Tony Hutchinson in the Channel 4 soap, was in high spirits as he appeared on Good Morning Britain.

Nick chatted to entertainment anchor Richard Arnold as the pair perched by a table with two colourful cocktails.

He said: “It’s a great experience and very overwhelming.

“I am glad to be out.

“Half of you wishes you could make it and get to the final because you’re honoured to be asked but the other half is thinking counting down the days, and if I come out now I have six days in a lovely place.

“Then I’ve just got to go to a party and go home.”
