The One Piece fandom took over social media with claims that Trafalgar D. Water Law would have done a much better job than Zoro against King.
One Piece recently wrapped up the Wano arc and is on the verge of entering the Final Saga, with Egghead arc being the first step. The Wano arc ran for more than four years, and several memorable moments made the fans all riled up. The biggest joy for the fans came when Monkey D. Luffy transformed into Gear 5 and defeated Kaido to free the Land of Wano from the tyrannical rule. But recently, social media erupted for another reason. The matter was surrounding Zoro taking on King and how Trafalgar D. Water Law would have defeated King faster and in a much easier way. The fans claim that Law would have been the worst match for King. And they have their reasons to back up their theory.
Trafalgar D. Water Law Picks Up Easy Victory Against King
Trafalgar D. Water Law
King is a commander of the Beast Pirates and the right-hand man of Kaido. He is one of the strongest characters in One Piece and belongs to the Lunarian race, who can control fire at will. King ate the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model – Pteranodon. Being a commander of the Beast Pirates, it was fitting that he took on one of the commanders of the Strawhat Pirates. As a result, Eiichiro Oda pitted Roronoa Zoro against him, and after a fierce battle, Zoro picked up the victory after going all-out.

D Water Law would have been a much better fit against King. King’s and Zoro’s fighting styles were almost the same, but Law’s was different. His devil fruit, Ope Ope no Mi, would allow him to dissect King almost too easily. Room and Shambles would have enough to defeat him.
King
Room creates a barrier around Law, which allows him to alter any living and non-living things when they come inside the barrier. So, if King entered the barrier, he would have suffered the inevitable. On the other hand, if he used any projectiles, they would return to him as Law can change the direction after they enter the Room. Law would not have to move from his position to defeat King.
Fans React To Law Defeating King In One Piece
One Piece is full of mysteries, and as a result, there are several fan theories surrounding different mysteries. But the Law vs. King matter seems to catch up on like wildfire, with the majority picking up Law as the victor. One of the fans wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Obviously Law and he wins far easier than Zoro.”

Another one posted facts to back up his reason. @Its_Chili wrote, “Amputation and Shambles only not working on Yonkos. Low – Diff Law.”

After the “low-diff” comments kept pouring down, there were a few who sided with Law but mentioned that it would be “mid-diff”.

One of the best comments read, “King is bending the knee the moment Law utters KROOM.”

The One Piece fandom seems to differ from Eiichiro Oda’s decision, but there can be hardly any argument that Zoro vs. King was one of the most entertaining fights in One Piece. If it had been Law, the fight would not have been so interesting since it would have ended much faster according to the fans. At the end of the day, these are all fan theories, and no one can disagree with Oda sensei’s decision-making.
