A fan-made video of Shanks taking on Blackbeard has caught the attention of the One Piece fandom.

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has been one of the most popular shows of the year. Be it Monkey D. Luffy’s Gear 5 against Kaido or Netflix’s One Piece Live Action, it has conquered the hearts of the fandom with everything that they have done this year. While the anime is gearing up for the Egghead arc, there is another thing that has caught the interest of the fandom.

Apart from Monkey D. Luffy becoming the King of the Pirates, there is another thing that the One Piece fandom has been eagerly waiting for. Shanks vs. Blackbeard is one of the most anticipated fights in One Piece. Recently, a YouTuber created a fan-made video of the two clashing. It was more than enough to rile up the fandom.

Shanks Vs. Blackbeard Heats Up The One Piece Fandom

During the Paramount War, when the Red-Hair Pirates met the Blackbeard Pirates, the fans could feel the tension in the air surrounding the captains of either group. From that point, the fans have been expecting a fight between the two. A YouTuber named Meme Duka fulfilled that wish to some extent with a 33-second video where the two take on each other.

The fan-made video starts with both Shanks and Marshall D. Teach injured bleeding, and shirtless. Blackbeard asks Shanks whether he is ready to give up or not. To this, Shanks replies, “Die,” and uses his Conqueror’s Haki. Due to the powerful Haki, Blackbeard could not move and froze. The video ended there with the ‘To be Continued’ sign.

The half-a-minute fan-made video has riled up the One Piece fandom, and they are already branding it to be the brawl of the century. Both of them have a history with each other considering Shanks was from the Roger Pirates and Teach sailed with the Whitebeard Pirates.

It was also mentioned that Marshall D. Teach is the one who gave Shanks the three scars around his left eye. Just like Gear 5 Luffy, it will be one of the greatest fights in anime history.

The One Piece Fandom Cannot choose between Luffy’s Mentor and the Pirate Who Never Sleeps

Shanks is one of the strongest Haki users in One Piece. His Haki is so strong that he defeats Admiral Ryokugyu with his Conqueror Haki from miles out. Whenever he passes by someone whose willpower is weak, they pass out from his immense presence, even though he is not using any Haki.

Shanks is known as the Killer of Observation Haki. He is Monkey D. Luffy’s mentor and inspired him to become a pirate. Shanks inherited the Strawhat from Gol D. Roger, and he passed it down to Luffy.

On the other hand, Blackbeard is the only pirate in the One Piece world who has two Devil Fruit powers. His Yami Yami no Mi and Gura Gura no Mi are one of the strongest Devil Fruits in the world.

He can use Observation Haki and Armament Haki, and just like Shanks, he is one of the Yonko with a powerful crew. His body is special, and there are a lot of mysteries surrounding him, which make him a formidable foe for Shanks.

The One Piece fandom cannot decide who will win between the two. In raw strength, Shanks is more powerful considering his advanced Haki and swordplay, but Blackbeard has access to Devil Fruits.

Many fans think Blackbeard has the upper hand considering he was able to land a blow on Shanks in their early days. Both pirates are complete opposites. Shanks and his crew rely on Haki and have no Devil Fruit users.

On the other hand, the Blackbeard pirates steal Devil Fruit’s powers through a mysterious ability. While one remains calm and does the right things, the other is chaotic and finds a way to gain power.

Apart from Shanks, Luffy also holds a grudge against Blackbeard considering he is the one who handed Portgas D. Ace to the Marines. It will be interesting to see how things line in the future.

One Piece is available on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
