Stephen Curry names the 5 greatest players in NBA history according to the Golden State Warriors defender’s personal subjective opinion.
Every fan and analyst has their own version of the best five-man lineup in NBA history, but the players always come up with the most interesting picks for their favorite lineups.
Recently, Stephen Curry shared on X, Twitter’s new name, about his greatest starting five of all time. Of course, with humility, the Golden State Warriors defender did not put himself in the number 1 position.
Instead, Curry chose Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan as defenders, Kobe Bryant as number 3, Tim Duncan and Shaquille O’Neal to play the big men.
During the selection process, Curry initially named Larry Bird as the secondary striker but at the last minute replaced him with the late Bryant.
Steph changed her roster because of Kobe Bryant
Except for the defenders, the remaining three faces all had a time confronting Stephen Curry in the early stages of the 1988-born defender’s career.
While Curry appeared in many of the NBA’s greatest 5-man lineups in the eyes of many fans, he showed respect for his seniors when choosing a lineup consisting entirely of retired players.
Shaq and Duncan are the best big men in NBA history according to Curry
Even though he has made a huge impact on the way modern basketball is played and has repeatedly asserted that his Golden State Warriors are stronger than the Chicago Bulls in the 90s, Chef does not want to stand in the debate about who is the successor. The best ball defender in history.
Another interesting thing is that LeBron James is absent from Steph’s choice, even though this is a compatriot and also a senior who receives the 35-year-old’s respect.
LeBron James and Stephen Curry once created the most watchable rivalry in NBA history
During his career, Curry has faced James four times in the NBA Finals. Steph’s Golden State has 3 rings, but also suffered an unbelievable comeback against LeBron’s Cavaliers in 2016.
