Saturn can easily be called the most menacing villain in One Piece’s history because of the level of manipulation and deceit he committed in the lives of Bartholomew Kuma and Jewelry Bonney. He is the reason why Kuma has become a mindless cyborg in the first place, and he is also the one who got Bonney’s mother killed.

But Saturn has been manipulating Kuma’s life way before all this even started. Every step of Kuma’s journey was marked with anguish and torment by Saturn’s manipulation and meddling. Saturn personally confronted Kuma when he was a child in God Valley, abusing and scolding him for desiring to live a free life rather than one as a slave.
