Remember when The Rock was publicly endorsing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the 2020 election? Well, if not we’ll get you there. But what has generated backlash is the actor who was in support of Biden that year, doesn’t seem to be sticking to his words according to what he shared on the recent Joe Rogan podcast and is intialting negative comments.

Dwayne Johnson Receives Backlash Over Recent Comments

A few years back Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson publicly endorsed current President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the 2020 election and expressed his heartfelt compassion for the two and even stated (via YouTube):
“I’ve never publicly endorsed a presidential candidate or a vice presidential candidate in my life, or my career so I figure, let’s kick this conversation off this way by me officially, publicly endorsing you both to become president and vice president of our great country.”

However, a similar compassion was missing completely on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, when The Rock revealed shutting down the idea of being the president of the US ever. The Jungle Cruise actor shared that “things are so fu*ked up” if they are asking him to be the President.

Johnson didn’t seem to be endorsing Joe Biden or Kamala Harris now which is earning him negative comments on X (earlier Twitter):

Dwayne Johnson also revealed that at the end of 2022, a political party approached him to run for the United States President which he ignored as adding this to his resume didn’t feel appealing and added: “never been to be in politics. As a matter of fact, there’s a lot about politics that I hate.” explaining that there are things he loathes about indulging politics.

There was a time when the Fast and Furious star seriously considered running for the US President in 2024. According to Variety, Dwayne Johnson mentioned that the 2024 presidential campaign was a “realistic consideration”. He also added:
“I knew I had to listen to the people and really, really think about it,” he continues. “That’s where I’m at right now — I’m well aware politics is not the business I’m in, so the best thing I can do is continuing to listen and learn as much as I can. I’m continuing to watch our presidency and watch how every new development is handled.”
Fans ran the campaign for the Baywatch star to run for president back in 2016, but according to his recent comments in the podcast, it seems like Dwayne Johnson isn’t focusing on making a political career lately.
