Apart from this, in 2013 after the release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura expressed being open to the idea of doing a G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover.

But currently, after Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, it seems a crossover is definite, whether or not a third G.I. Joe movie gets made.

Following the update shared by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts director Steven Caple Jr. and franchise producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura about a crossover via EW, fans seem to question if Dwayne Johnson will return. Although the actor expressed his desire to return as Roadblock in the potential third installment, he didn’t open up about appearing in the crossover.
