Drake appeared to respond to critics of his friendship with Millie Bobby Brown during his track Another Late Night, featured on his new album For All The Dogs, which was released on Friday.

The 36-year old rapper and the 19-year-old actress created a minor controversy when the Stranger Things star revealed that they were in close contact when she was just 14 years old during an interview that was released in 2018.

The hitmaker, who is currently planning on taking a break from music to focus on his health, has since used the controversy as subject material for his rhymes, as evidenced on his new record.

Drake name-dropped the Enola Homes star by name in his new track, during which  he rapped: ‘Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ’bout some Millie Bobby, look/Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin.’

The Find Your Love singer then appeared to issue a warning to critics of his friendship with Brown.

He rapped that he would ‘send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes/Open up that s***, it’s jaw droppin’, really shockin.’

The Primetime Emmy Award-nominated actress and Drake initially met during a concert that took place in Australia in November of 2017.

The pair went on to pose for a much-publicized photo, in which the rapper wrapped his arm around the performer.

Brown subsequently spoke to W Magazine and revealed that the Grammy Award-winning performer had actually ‘invited me to his concert.

The actress went on to state that she would speak ‘all the time’ with Drake, and she stated that she often asked for ‘his advice’ regarding her love life.

The Godzilla: King Of The Monsters actress is currently engaged to Jake Bongiovi, to whom she has been linked ever since 2021.

The rapper subsequently received much criticism for what many described as fostering an unhealthy connection to the performer.

Brown subsequently issued a statement to defend her friendship with Drake on her Instagram Story, and wrote via Entertainment Tonight: ‘Why you gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline.’

The performer went on to express that she was grateful to be able to speak about any topic she pleased with the rapper.

‘I’m lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life.’

She concluded: ‘It’s nice to have people understand what I do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships.’

Brown has not publicly responded to Drake’s new verse as of yet.
