Sean Preston, 18 years old, and Jayden James, 17 years old – the two sons of singer Britney Spears – were seen surfing with their father after moving to Hawaii.

In a series of photos published by Page Six, the two brothers went to the beach to play sports with their father and half-sister, Kori. Sean Preston let his hair down while Jayden sported a spiked hairstyle. The two paddled shirtless. Their father – 45-year-old former dancer Kevin Federline – followed closely with the children.

This is the first time Britney’s two sons have been seen since moving to Hawaii for the summer. Previously, both of them also liked to live a private life, rarely appearing.

In May, Britney’s ex-husband sent a letter to the singer’s lawyer asking if she was willing to let her two teenage children move from Los Angeles to Hawaii. Attorney Mathew Rosengart, representing Britney, replied that Sean had become an adult in September while Jayden was about to turn 18, so the pop star did not interfere with their children’s decisions.

A source revealed to Page Six at the time that Britney agreed with her children going to Hawaii and she only wanted the best for the children.

According to TMZ, Sean Preston and Jayden James both want to follow their father to live on a tropical island. When they moved, the two had not seen their mother for more than a year.

Britney’s two sons have lived with their father for many years, receiving tens of thousands of dollars in support from their mother each month. Previously, Sean and Jayden visited their mother every week, but some disagreements occurred and they both decided to stop seeing Britney early last year.

Sean and Jayden did not even attend the singer’s wedding with actor Sam Asghari in June 2022.

In an interview last September on ITV, Jayden admitted that his relationship with his mother had broken down. He said it will take a long time to heal and will only meet when his mother’s mental health is better. Jayden said his mother had not fully expressed her feelings for the two brothers, felt pressured by her noisy life and felt safer in his father’s house.

In an Instagram post, Britney said she was heartbroken when her children abandoned her. The 41-year-old star said that since the children left, she feels “like a part of me has died”. “Literally, I had no purpose in living anymore. The children were my joy, everything to me. I longed to see them. I always lived for the children. Then suddenly, they disappeared . I said to myself: “God, is my heart stopping?”, she wrote.

Although she could not understand her children’s decision, Britney did not blame or get angry. She apologized if she accidentally hurt her two children and said she always loved them more than anything in the world.

Britney married dancer Kevin Federline in 2004. They welcomed Sean Preston in September 2005 and Jayden in September 2006. The couple divorced in July 2007. Kevin currently lives with his fiancée, children, and stepchildren.
