EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier is currently starring alongside Dianne Buswell on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and he’s reportedly been ‘spotted by talent scouts’Bobby Brazier could be ‘the next Harry Styles’, according to music label bosses.
Industry experts are reportedly eyeing up the Strictly Come Dancing star after his consistent success alongside Dianne Buswell. However, worlds away from the ballroom, chiefs at Universal Music and Sony are apparently looking to sign the “triple threat” up for a singing career after his stint on the BBC dancefloor.
“Bobby has caught the attention of major music labels who have spotted his ability and appeal across the board — from young people to families,” claims an insider. “People at labels including Universal and Sony have talked about Bobby.”
“Bobby has shown an amazing ability to connect with an audience and there is real hype around him,” they told The Sun. “A lot of people have their eyes on Bobby and think the future could be very bright if he wanted to try his hand at music.”
The revelation comes after Bobby’s dad Jeff opened up on watching his son perform a heartfelt tribute to his late mum Jade Goody on Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders actor performed to This Woman’s Work by Maxwell, leaving both the judges and viewers wowed by the masterful performance alongside Strictly professional Dianne. The touching dance earned the pair 37 out of 40 points, setting them up on the score leaderboard.
Dad Jeff has cared for his sons Bobby and Freddie after Jade’s death from cervical cancer in 2009 at just 27 years old. He’s praised Bobby for his performance, as he revealed he was “nervous” for him to talk about his grief and losing his mum.
Speaking to MailOnline, Jeff explained: “I was nervous for him anyway because you just are, but I was so apprehensive because Bobby hasn’t necessarily shared his experience of loss publicly before.” The TV presenter then added that he was concerned for Bobby that opening up on TV would be “overwhelming” and that the young actor might find it bringing up “unresolved grief”.
Jeff added: “I worried that he’d find it too much. Grief is ugly, but to watch him be able to translate it into this understandable, beautiful thing, was amazing.” He later shared a heartfelt message after the stunning performance Instagram, writing, “To share your grief even to just one person can be a daunting prospect but to express it so movingly in front of millions takes incredible courage so thank you for your inspiration @bobbybrazier!
“Encouraging many a conversation about loss & giving people an outlet for the tears they might find hard to release is a wonderful legacy of your time in the competition so far. You said something in the VT about making me proud of you? You and your brother achieved that a long time ago. Don’t forget I’ve seen the journey and you both have my lifelong support & unwavering respect.”
