Beyonce fans were quick to point out the Single Ladies singer’s resemblance to reality TV star Kim Kardashian as she hit the red carpet for her Renaissance Tour movie debut

Beyonce looked stunning at the premiere for her Renaissance Tour movie, but some fans fear she’s turning into Kim Kardashian.

The Single Ladies singer, 42, rocked up in a glitzy gown designed by none other than Donatella Versace. The silver dress hugged her hour-glass figure and accentuated her bust in a strapless design. The garment, which also had metallic bicep-length gloves was even complemented by the iconic designer who posted a number of shots to her Instagram, labelling the former Destiny’s Child star as “a vision in Versace”.

Queen Bey completed the look with platinum blonde locks and Versace added: “You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one!!! I can’t wait to see the Renaissance tour movie.”

However, not all fans were as complimentary as the fashion guru, with many taking to the comments section of her post to let their feelings be known. One user wrote: “I thought this was Kim K for a sec,” alongside her crying with laughter emoji.

Another agreed, and said it seemed as thought Bey was following everyone else’s lead. “Literally everyone looking like a Kardashian,” they fumed, while a third added: “it’s giving kim k cher hybrid.”

Despite the cynicism, others were quick to comment on Beyonce’s beauty, with a number of fans simply branding her a “queen”.

While Bey was dazzling in her sleek gown at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills, she was joined by former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Also in attendance for the debut were Destiny’s Child’s founding members LaToya Luckett and LaTavia Robertson. Other famous faces included Gabrielle Union, Halle Bailey, Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble.

Last month, it was revealed Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy was almost given a different moniker. The youngster’s dad, rapper Jay-Z, revealed Beyonce that the pair had initially decided on the name Brooklyn.

When asked if they had dubbed her Blue because it was his favourite colour the 99 Problems singer grinned and confessed: “I wish it was that simple. It was supposed to be Brooklyn. That was the name we had in theory. When we got to the sonograms, she was super small there and we were calling her blueberry, like ‘Look at the little blueberry!’
