If quite a few players had defended Draymond Green after his altercation with Rudy Gobert, this has been much less the case since his last suspension. A former teammate of LeBron James also stepped up to castigate the Golden State superstar, accusing him of targeting a very specific type of athlete.

Rudy Gobert likens first-ever 3-pointer to another provocative first

We finally know how long Draymond Green will be absent from the courts. A priori, the interior will miss at least three additional weeks of competition, just to put his ideas back in place after having failed again on the floors. A chokehold on Rudy Gobert and a punch against Jusuf Nurkic, all in just one month, was too much for the NBA, which had to intervene.

By his behavior that is far too violent, the quadruple champion does enormous harm to her franchise since he deprives her of her heart and her lungs, while she is going through a bad patch. We could even say that this was partly due to his temper tantrums…

Few people still come to his defense. Former teammate of LeBron James at the Heat, Udonis Haslem notably called him to order:

Udonis Haslem furious with Draymond Green

Draymond, man, you’re crossing the line. There are only so many warriors in this league, guys who are going to take that technical foul, who are going to take that foul, and protect their teammates. But we don’t start this shit. We never initiate anything. We are not bullies. We’re not looking to cause trouble.

We are never the origin of these troubles, we are the guys who prevent them. We protect our teammates. So, man, I have a lot of respect for Draymond. But there, Draymond is delirious.

Draymond Green to reportedly miss at least three weeks as part of his indefinite suspension

An enforcer par excellence during his years in Miami, Haslem knows what he is talking about. The insider also took the opportunity to throw out his own theory about the Dancing Bear’s targets:
People think he’s crazy. I think he’s smart.

Because he knows who he is dealing with. He choked Gobert, he hit Nurkic. He targets guys who aren’t going to do anything in return.
Indeed, neither the Bosnian nor the French are known for wanting to trouble others, usually. Which makes them “easy” opponents for the Dubs superstar…

Udonis Haslem was known for his role as a shadow warrior, one who protected his teammates by doing the dirty work. For him, what Draymond Green has been doing for several weeks is seriously damaging the profession, especially since he would only attack players who are not likely to pick a fight…
