Netflix has dropped the trailer for the live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Earlier, Paramount Studios released The Last Airbender live-action movie in 2010 but the movie failed miserably, both critically and in the commercial space. The M. Night Shyamalan-directed movie was far from meeting the expectations of the fans.

The live-action adaptation of the project was first announced in 2018 and fans waited a long way since then and now the trailer is finally here. Fans could see the live-action versions of their favorite characters.

The series stars Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, Elizabeth Yu as Azula, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Iroh, and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai. Albert Kim will serve as showrunner while being executive producer and writer at the same time. Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore, Jabbar Raisani, and Michael Goi will join Kim as executive producers. Roseanne Liang, Goi, Raisani, and Jet Wilkinson are set to direct the show.

I could cry. This looks phenomenal. The actors all look amazing, the special effects look great, and what little we saw of the bending, looks infinitely better than what we saw in that “movie”

I’m SO HYPED!!!!

The Last Airbender has certainly caused hype and excitement among fans but it would be interesting to see if the new show could live up to the success of its recent live-action success One Piece. But fans need to wait that long, the first eight episodes of the show are scheduled to be released on 22 February 2024 on Netflix.
