This wasn’t Swift’s first Golden Globes nomination. She was lastBefore the singer made her way through the red carpet, people were wondering if she would be at the Globes or at the Chiefs game on Sunday. Swift had attended five Chiefs games in a row — and Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers happened to be in California.
While Kelce’s team had a game, the athlete was designated inactive while the Chiefs gear up for the NFL playoffs.
Jo Koy made a joke referencing Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes, and the singer’s reaction has had many people on social media reacting.
Swift made an appearance at the award show as she was nominated in the new blockbuster film category for her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. The “Bejeweled” singer was not spared from Koy who called attention to her during the award ceremony.
“We came on after a football doubleheader,” Koy said. “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL… On the Golden Globes we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.”
Cameras caught a reaction shot of Swift as Koy mentioned her name. The singer grabbed her drink and took a sip, keeping her facial expressions subdued and seemingly unimpressed with the joke.
“Sorry about that,” Koy added.

Swift’s appearance at the Golden Globes was being questioned as the singer has been making weekly appearances at the Kansas City Chiefs’ games. The “Anti-Hero” singer is dating NFL star Travis Kelce and this weekend, the team played in Los Angeles against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
Throughout the football season, Swift has been garnering attention for her appearance at the games with the NFL giving coverage to her attendance. The NFL was criticized for focusing on Swift every weekend, and the organization put out a statement to explain why.
