The Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens had a perfect reply to his haters after his stellar performance against the Cincinnati Bengals. The WR registered two touchdowns and ended his drought of poor form.

In the very first quarter, the WR connected with the backup quarterback Mason Rudolph and gave a much-needed lead against the Bengals through an 85-yard TD pass. He also secured the victory for his team after picking another 66-yard TD pass at the end of the game. With these two receptions, Pickens garnered momentum for the Steelers.

After the game, the WR had a staunch message to the fans and the critics. In front of the camera, he opened his helmet and made a gesture. Pickens had a silencing act toward his critics.

The WR was subjected to a lot of criticism after showing poor form on the gridiron. A few days back, the Steelers WR expressed his agony over his teammates for not receiving enough balls from them. He openly showed his disgrace towards his teammates. However, that act did not earn much respect from the fans. They instead pointed out his lack of effort in games.

Pickens wanted a moment to turn the table. The Bengals game provided him a much-needed boost. Nonetheless, the Steelers fans who are known for their desperation, did not have approval to what the WR expressed after the game wholeheartedly. While some had positive feedback the others trolled him.

Will George Pickens’ performance help him to sort disciplinary concerns?

With his poor performance and growing frustrations, George Pickens drew a heavy flak inside the dressing room. His coach, Mike Tomlin, openly admitted the issues with the WR. He later accepted that Pickens had become a disciplinary concern for the Steelers.

It’s a problem because it’s not solution-oriented--You know we are all frustrated, but we got to manage our frustrations in a professional, mature way. When it’s not done that way, it’s not necessarily pushing us to solutions.

After the game, Tomlin praised Pickens’ efforts in the game. However, the fans seemed divided in praising Pickens. Some trolled him while some acknowledged his effort.

It is to be seen whether the performance helps him to strengthen his footprint in the team. Pickens ended the Saturday night with four receptions for 195 yards.
