SAN Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has already been compared to one of the game’s greats.

The 19-year-old Frenchman stunned on Friday as the Spurs bested the Miami Heat 120-104.

Wembanyama led the Spurs with 23 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 23 minutes on the court.

The 7-foot-4 forward/center wound up going viral thanks to a highlight reel dunk over Heat center Thomas Bryant, which even left the NBA Champion looking visibly stunned.

“The look he gave is the look of “how do you stop that?'” commented one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another asked: “I mean how do you guard this? raise the rims?”

While a third simply called Wembanyama a “Cheat code.”

Multiple comments also compared Wembanyama’s dunk to one of Michael Jordan’s.

More specifically, one of Jordan’s dunks from the 1996 movie Space Jam, where his arm stretched out to reach the rim with two characters trying to hold him back.

“Life imitates art,” joked one fan in response.

By comparison, another fan had a more realistic comparison for Wembanyama, asking: “Is he the closest player we have seen compared to Wilt (Chamberlain)?”

Whether Wembanyama becomes the next Jordan, Chamberlain, or a legend in his own right, the hype train surrounding the French phenom shows no signs of slowing down.

Thankfully for his sake, Wembanyama will likely have become used to this incredible pressure over the past few years, having been hyped as a generational talent throughout.

A three-time LNB Pro A Best Young Player, Wembanyama is also the reigning Pro A MVP, Pro A Best Scorer, and Pro A Best Defender.

Next up for the Spurs are two games against the Houston Rockets on October 16 and 18, before a preseason finale against the Golden State Warriors on October 20.
