RECENTLY retired quarterback Tom Brady is getting a taste of how the average fan watches football – and now understands why they get annoyed watching the NFL at home on their couches.

Brady, 46, the seven-time Super Bowl champion, explained his problems with watching the NFL from home in a recent radio interview.

On this week’s edition of Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray on SiriusXM, the New England Patriots legend gave his discouraging thoughts on the gameday experience as a viewer.

“There’s so much more context when you’re watching [and] you have this TV and they show every replay. On the field, you don’t see any of that. You’re seeing everything ground level,” Brady said.

“I think when you’re a fan, you see obviously a lot, you hear a lot. The commentators are saying a lot.

“You have the score right there, you have the timeouts listed, everything’s right there for you.

“It’s not necessarily like that when you’re a player. You’re just, you’re in the moment.”

Brady played in the NFL for 23 seasons and now plans to join Fox as their top game analyst, signing a lucrative 10-year, $375 million contract.

With his time off this year, he’s trying to master every aspect of commentary.

“I’m taking it all in,” the 15-time Pro Bowler revealed.

“I’m trying to actually listen to a little bit from a broadcaster standpoint and how they’re calling the game, you know, paying attention more to, I’d say, the broadcasting element of it, the pageantry of it rather than, I would say, the nuances and the technicalities of the game.”

At the moment, Brady is undergoing difficulties acquiring a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.

Originally in May, it was reported that Brady had bought a portion of the Raiders, but there’s still more to iron out.

Apparently talks are stalled due to concerns about the discounted price offered by owner Mark Davis, per the Washington Post.

It’s believed that Davis is selling Brady between five and 10 percent of his franchise, and may have given the former quarterback a discount as high as 70 percent.

In the meantime, Brady is keeping busy watching the NFL, even commenting on Aaron Rodgers and his Achilles injury.

“I know it’s a tough battle. That’s an incredible injury that he’s trying to come back from. I appreciate his effort,” Brady said.

“And that’s the approach that winners take is they try to get back out there to get back in the fight with their buddies.”
