Houston Texans star C.J. Stroud also took the opportunity to push for his former teammate to win the Heisman Trophy

TOM Brady has proven that while he may be over two decades removed from his college days, those rivalries never leave you.

The 46-year-old former Michigan Wolverine interviewed Houston Texans star, and ex-Ohio State Buckeye, C.J. Stroud in the latest episode of his podcast.

And with the second ranked Wolverines and the third ranked Buckeyes set to face off once again on November 25, the upcoming game was bound to come up during the conversation.

Speaking to host Jim Gray and Stroud on the Let’s Go! podcast, Brady said: “The Wolverines are playing really well again, this could be our chance to beat the Buckeyes three years in a row which is unprecedented and its gonna be a great matchup.”

In fact, Brady was so confident he was willing to make a bet with Stroud.

Should the Buckeyes win, he jokingly said he would give Stroud one of his seven Super Bowl rings.

Brady then added: “And if Michigan beats Ohio State, then you got to give me all your youth, your agility, your time in the 40 and all your future years in the NFL.”

Stroud accepted the bet, before admitting: “I’m not going to take your Super Bowl rings, Tom. I’m not going to lie. That’s yours, bro, I want to get my own.”

During his collegiate career, Brady twice faced the Buckeyes, losing 31-16 in 1998, and winning 24-17 a year later.

As for Stoud, he too played in the rivalry twice, losing 42-27 in 2021 and 45-23 in 2022.

However, like Brady, the 2023 second overall draft pick is confident his side can pick up a win.

“We’re confident man. We’re playing our best ball in November which you want to see,” said Stroud.

“Coach [Ryan] Day is leading those guys. [I] think Kyle McCord, our quarterback, is looking great. Marvin [Harrison Jr.] is the best player in the country.

“I’m calling it now, if he does not win the Heisman, it is rigged.”

Star wideout Harrison, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, is among the favorites to lift the trophy.

In doing so, he would be the first receiver to win the award since former Alabama star DeVonta Smith in 2020.

It would also make Harrison only the third non-quarterback to win it since 2010.
