Tom Brady is done with stress eating.

After 23 NFL seasons, the 46-year-old retiree says he’s dropped 10 pounds since stepping away from the game because he has less stress in his life.

‘I haven’t had the stress that I had while I was playing so that’s allowed me to focus a little bit more on my physical health,’ Brady said during a recent episode of the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast with co-hosts Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion then gave a peak into his hierarchy of needs.

‘You could prioritize a lot of other things — career, kids, relationships, family, greater good, community,’ he said. ‘But at the end of the day, physical and mental health should sit at the top of the pyramid.’

Of course, Brady is in the wellness industry through his TB12 brand, which peddles everything from athletic gear to protein supplements. Likely because of this, he often finds ways to hammer health tips into any on-air discussion.

While Brady now claims to have lost weight due to reduced stress, it was previously reported in January that he dropped 15 pounds amid his separation and eventual divorce from Gisele Bundchen. The Buccaneers finished 8-9 in 2022 – Brady’s first losing season as a starting quarterback.

‘Tampa Bay’s team struggled this season,’ ESPN’s Jeff Darlington said on January 26. ‘There is no doubt the offense never clicked … but Brady also knows his own mental focus was gone for a bulk of the season.

‘His physical stature, faced with 15 pounds of weight loss, was also in peril.’
